The report of the US National Reading Panel released in 2000 emphasized that an effective reading programme should have the following five elements:

At the Reading Bug Club, we offer two classes for two
levels of students with a view to enhance these skills as
recommended by the NRP. In addition,
students are also taught elementary writing skills.
